Flour Bakery + Cafe/Myers + Chang is searching for an experienced HVAC/R Technician to help keep our restaurant and bakeries operating smoothly. The HVAC/R Technician will be based out of the Facilities Office in Boston and will report directly to our Facilities Director.
- Maintain and repair heating, cooling, make up air, exhaust, and refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Follow safety procedures and regulations when working on HVAC/R systems
- Ordering and picking up parts as needed
- Other projects as needed
- HVAC/Refrigeration Maintenance Duties Include:
- HVAC Including Air Handlers, Heat Pumps, VAV’s, VRF’s Hood Exhaust, MUA, Exhaust Fans
- Refrigeration-Reach-Ins/Walk-Ins
- Ice Machines
- HVAC/Refrigeration Repairs Include, But Not Limited to:
- Compressors
- Cap Tubes
- Filter Dryers
- Temperature Controls
- Evaporator Replacements
- TXV’s
- Fan Motors
- Door Heaters
- Defrost Timers
- Fan Motors
- Lighting Components and Ballasts
- Gaskets
- Hinges
- Displays
- Belts
- 7+ years HVAC experience, commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience a must
- Massachusetts Driver’s License
- Massachusetts Refrigeration License
- EPA 608 Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification
- NATE Certification a plus, but not required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration systems, including their design, operation, and repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints related to HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of plumbing principles for connecting HVAC/R systems to water lines
- Brazing/Welding skills for fabricating or repairing metal components of HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Electrical and Plumbing knowledge pertaining to HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Possesses all basic hand and diagnostic tools
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Excellent attendance, reliability, communication and interpersonal skills
- Actively problem solves using sound judgment
- Attention to detail, organization and multitasking skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work on ladders up to 12’
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for reasonable periods of time in order to complete tasks
